Skype, WhatsApp and Snapchat alternative apps in UAE

Currently, Skype, WhatsApp and Snapchat calls are all banned in the UAE under the country’s Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) policy, with the only VoIP apps available to use in Dubai and the UAE are Botim and C’Me.
Both of these are paid for services offered by du and Etisalat respectively. Alternatively you can pay for a VPN to remove restrictions of your favourite app and make calls at your own risk.

Hey guys… do you know about the ToTok chat app? So ToTok is a Whatsapp-like app which features chat and call services. What makes it more fun is that it includes a doodle feature too😊 and yes it’s absolutely FREE and works in the UAE as well.
But here’s the catch, for the residents of UAE who have already downloaded the app, they can continue to use it without hassles. But for new users, unfortunately it has been taken down from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. However, news has it that will be available soon, so you might want to keep an eye out for that. I don’t believe users in other countries have any problems per se.

Download the app here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ai.totok.chat

PS: This is not an affiliate post.
N don’t mistake it for the Tik Tok app. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Leave us a comment if you know of any other apps that help stay in touch.
