We welcome you to a special Spring time Sunday Parsi brunch hosted by Shamineh Mavalvala of Limbudi and Jack Fleming of Stories On Our Plate - SOOP at the lovely Spaceat61 pop up space in Nunhead, South East London.
‘Parsis’ or ‘Parsees’ are descendants of Zoroastrians who fled Iran in the 17th Century, settling on the west coast of India. Parsi food boasts a cuisine that is influenced by Gujarati, Maharashtrian, Iranian and British flavours.
This brunch is a sharing family style occasion, and also shared with guests will be some of the stories behind Shamineh Mavalvala’s food. A limited number of ticket, together with a children’s menu, will be available to families of 4 with children under 12 with a play creche area provided for at the venue. There

Akuri - Traditional Parsi style scrambled eggs made with tomato, green chillies, onions, and coriander
Keema per edu - Slow-cooked spicy beef topped with a fried egg, coriander and lime
Masala papayta - Cubed potatoes fried in spices, fresh curry leaf and lemon
Green cheese toast - Parsi coconut and coriander chutney topped with local/surplus cheddar, under the grill
Doodh pak - Sweet almond and rice pudding scented with cardamon and rose water, and Torta de Aceite (Olive oil crisp bread)
*All served with bottomless Parsi Choi (fragrant milky tea), home-made tomato-ginger-chilli-lime jam, and crusty bread
